#RejectNEP Is Trending!đ¨đ¤
NEP, which is known as National Education Policy, is a guiding document for the state and the Centre. This new set of provisions, NEP 2020, that was launched, on 29th July, made some real and revolutionary changes that could bring a whole new change to the Indian Education System, if executed correctly! National Education Policy for India has been revised after 34 years.
Due to this wonderful step taken by the government, the policy have sections which states that there is no rigid distinction between science, arts and commerce, which means students can choose whichever subject and course they like!
And, there is a huge segment promising practical learning, leaving behind the same rote learning! Basically, the policy gives way to real-life knowledge and can change the course of the Indian education!
But, ever since, the policy was out in the media, #RejectNEP has been trending on Twitter! There are more than 500 senseless tweets on the same topics with the same hashtags!
NEP: kaisa laga mera majak..

Yes National educational policy is a joke.. stop ruining students'life..#RejectNEP
I won't take much of your time and dive straight into the topic. I have been through a lot of these tweets, under these same kinda hashtags! Are you surprised? I was surprised too!
So, when I was going through the tweets, I came across three topics that were repeatedly spoken and tweeted against.
1. Vocational Internships- This is one of the excellent points in the policy draft! The policy proposes the idea of a fun course for students of Class 6 to Class 8. Pick up any one craft like- Carpentry, Pottery, Electrician or in that matter even Gardening!

This will provide children with practical knowledge, outside of bookish language. Learning coding at a young age will open new horizons of self-improvement and self-recognition!
Under the same point, it is mentioned that, students will have at least 10 bag-less days. On these days, they will learn any vocational and practical craft, they choose at the hands of professionals, like an intern! They will actually learn how things work in the real world!
We can't let this Govt. bring a redefined formula for "child labour" and exploitation in the name of "internships". Expose the real agenda of making Indian youth a cheap labour market.#RejectNEP2020
— Aishe (āĻāĻļী) (@aishe_ghosh) July 30, 2020
Now, what problem does this segment have? Some tweets stated this provision as 'child labour'! I mean, how do they even run such hay-wire, erratic thoughts in their minds?!
2. Language- The language you speak in shouldn't be a barrier for you, it should be a bridge! I mean to say that, your language should be a bridge that is used to channelize your thoughts into words. English is important for a global outreach and jobs. But, if a student isn't comfortable using it as a language, he/she should have the option to learn in whichever language they are interested in!
The policy looks into the matter and states that the gap between the learning language and the language a student speaks in should be decreased! It DOESN'T state that, the school needs to impose Hindi, or make it compulsory! In fact, the word Hindi has just been used for once in the whole draft!
It is a fact that 197 Indian languages are endangered and more than 200 languages of India are extinct, in a span of last 50 years! To preserve the diversity of the nation and to recognize different local languages, it has proposed the thought of students being taught in a local language until Class 5, which again isn't mandatory and has to be discussed upon and DOESN'T IMPOSE HINDI!
But, some smartypants think that it will bring about 'Brahmanism' and 'Saffronization', just because they think that the policy is imposing Hindi and Sanskrit! Oh, our 'so-called' Champagne Socialists Class!
For a fact we know that, Sanskrit is going to be the preferred language for NASA's AI programme! If you don't believe check this- https://www.aaai.org/ojs/index.php/aimagazine/article/view/466
So, why do we even shy away from learning or speaking Hindi or Sanskrit! Just think, that people from India will be called for the AI missions because we are the largest Sanskrit speaking country in the world!
3. Higher Education- Every year around 7.5 lakh students from India migrate to other countries to receive higher education from reputed universities, abroad. Which causes a major brain drain in India, and talent goes out of our country! The policy accepted it and decides to act upon it!
The policy states that, Indian institutions can now set up their campuses in other countries, and world's top 100 institutions can set up in India. Moreover, the best out of these 100 universities, will be given the chance to establish themselves here, in India!
Some people think this will make higher education unaffordable and expensive. In fact, to prevent commercialization of education, the policy states that it will set fee limits for certain type of courses! Healthy competition between the suppliers have been proven great for the consumers!
The real problem behind this whole mayhem isn't WHAT is the policy! But, WHO has introduced and WHO gets the 'credit' is what people care for! Moreover, to push their political agenda into light, these kinda hashtags trend! But, they don't really get that these kind of tweets, mislead people who don't have much knowledge about these policies!
This is dangerous for India's future and progress! This policy is important for the students to fly high, free and let's them decide their own destiny.
I agree, that the implementation and execution of this policy will determine the success of it. How will the government improve those little flaws the policy has, it will be worth seeing!
But, it is so sick that there are so many literates supporting #RejectNEP, and they are the ones who say that- 'India ka kuch nahi hoga', Bhaisaab, aap krne doge to hoga na!
If you really, support these types of progressive changes, then start talking about it. Believe in, analyzing before criticising or speaking against something!

Your feedbacks mean a lot to me, I love reading them all!
I work hard, and I love to do it, it enriches my knowledge as well!
I though support it .It's a revolution though nobody should be forced to study a subject which they are not interested in. And about Hindi that's are culture, if English can be compulsory why not Hindi.Well written✔✔đ°
